Brisbane’s favourite BYO bush bash Red Deer Music & Arts Festival is returning for its seventh year running on Saturday 14 October 2017.
The iconic ‘BYO booze ‘n couch’ festival will deliver a memorable day and night of astronomical entertainment at the Mount Samson amphitheatre, as part of the festival’s 2017 SPACE ODDITY theme.
This year for the first time in its history, the festival will feature a third live music stage, with a focus on providing opportunities for regional, emerging artists. Other attractions such as the annual Fashion Of The Fields dance-off contest and the insanity of the traditional Red Deer Sack Race will keep the faithful fulfilled for their overnight camping odyssey.
The festival will also be welcoming even more ‘day’ ticket holders this year in the hope of reducing the carbon footprint on the beautiful hinterland site made by campers and cars. As such, several ‘Space Shuttles’ will ferry festival-bound astronauts from the West End as well as Ferny Grove and Petrie train stations, providing a unique transport option for hundreds to the 2017 festival.
