American heavy rockers Baroness have announced their eagerly-awaited return to Australia, with their first ever headline tour taking them across the country this December.
Forming in 2003, Baroness are a 4 piece Rock/Indie Metal band from Savannah, Georgia. While slugging it out in their local Savannah scene Baroness started booking their own tours and screen printing their own merchandise as they tapped into the DIY punk ethic. Founded by artist/musician John Baizley (vocals, guitar), the four-piece line-up includes Pete Adams (guitar, vocals), Nick Jost (bass, keyboards) and Sebastian Thomson (drums).
Returning to Australia after playing Soundwave festival 2014, Baroness have also previously supported Metallica on their 2010 Australian tour and in addition to their headline dates this year they will also head to Meredith Music Festival.
This time Baroness are hitting the road for five headline shows across Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
Baroness are now in their 13th year as a band and have released four records in that time. With their latest album, Purple released last year there’s a whole lot of new tracks for all you Australian fans to hear live.
