Brand new festival Shakafest is kicking it to the Gold Coast this August in celebration of all things street. So prepare yourself for a jam packed day full of sick tunes and rad hangs.
Combing Aussie hip hop, surf, skating, art and food, Shakafest will be taking place at Gold Coast Miami Tavern on August 27. Announcing a totally gnarly line up featuring Drapht, Dune Rats, Spit Syndicate and many more, Shakafest is a reflection of the local street scene and all the positive things that come with it.
In addition to the sick music line up there will also be DJs, graffiti art and even better a monster half pipe. During the festival the half pipe will be open to all skaters who will be included in the filming of an ultimate demo thanks to Redbull and Fiik.
Appealing to multiple different scenes on the coast, Shakafest is purposely diverse in the hope to bring everybody together in one chaotic mini festival.
“We are creating an experience that will appeal to so many different scenes on the coast; Shakafest will draw in all walks of life and expose people to new genres of music, sports and art.” Wedge Head Events owner Tamie Bennett.
