People of Brisbane, get ready to party as restrictions have eased! With this recent announcement, and the countdown to SUMMER(ish) SOUNDS well and truly underway, the festival is celebrating by adding a bunch of exciting additions to its already huge lineup…
Get down to the hyperactive beats and tropical inspired electronica of Clypso as she warms up the stage for impressive multi-instrumentalist The Kite String Tangle, who is sure to leave you levitating ahead of The Avalanches set on Friday 30 April.
Catch the kings of a good time, Beddy Rays, when they join Perth rockers Tired Lion and local legends Violent Soho with their powerful lyrics, strong hooks and mosh-worthy riffs on Saturday 1 May. Riverstage is going to be heaving when these fun-loving larrikins take over!
Take in the inviting charm and razor-sharp wit of Brisbanite Hope D as she performs her captivating music while opening the Labour Day show (Monday 3 May) ahead of Sycco’s soulful voice and psychedelic jazz aura. Then it’s time for the heart-swelling, folk-inflected pop of Alex The Astronaut, as she brings her debut album, The Theory of Absolutely Nothing, to life. Top it off with a Ball Park Music singalong and you’ve got yourself one epic Labour Day afternoon!
