FIDLAR Drop Video Clip For Single ‘Flake’

Ahead of their Australian tour this July, FIDLAR return today with a video for new single Flake – a highlight of the band’s acclaimed new album, Almost Free, out now. The video sees the song’s lyrics translated by sign language interpreters.

Speaking of the concept for the clip, the band say, ‘Flake‘ is a song about having friends in Los Angeles. The video idea came from a conversation I had with my girlfriend about sign language interpreters at music festivals and how it can be funny when they have to sign songs with explicit language. That brought me to the idea of piecing together a music video with clips of sign language interpreters signing every lyric of the song, mixed in with some clips of our favourite bad acting reels.  We spent an afternoon getting all the clips together and our bass player, Brandon Schwartzel, edited them together.”
