Stateside || 6 REASONS TO LIVE

Brisbane alternative rock outfit Stateside are taking over the music industry and touring with some of the worlds biggest acts such as Simple Plan and Neck Deep. But music isn’t the only thing they share with their fans. Stateside are big supporters of organisations such as Beyond Blue and Headspace that work with people that struggle with their mental health. Front woman Erin Reus works tirelessly even outside of band life to share her support from sharing posts and information on her social media accounts as well as making a statement during every one of Stateside’s live performances. So to lighten up your day Stateside has put together 6 everyday reasons to live that I think everybody can relate to.

1 || RAIN

The smell, the feeling of it falling onto your skin, falling asleep to the sound of rain hitting the roof.

2 || ADVENTURES

There’s so much of the world to explore. Where you live is only a tiny portion of what there is to find out there.

3 || MUSIC

Music is the perfect way to express yourself, perfect way to relax, it’s a great go-to when you want to change your mood & there is a never ending supply of it.

4 || FOOD

Mac n cheese? French toast? Chicken? Cheesy cauliflower bake?????? PANCAKES?!?!? MUFFINS!

5 || SHOWERS

Hot showers on a cold morning. When you step into the steamy water and you get shivers down your spine.

6 || FAMILY

The best thing is that you get to CHOOSE your family. Those people who support you, look after you, love you and those who bless you with their friendship every day. They are your family.

Erin Remember that whatever negativity you’re feeling now is NOT permanent and it’s totally okay to not be okay. Work through it, have a chat to someone about it and things will get better. You are important. You do matter. You CAN get through this.

Erin is also supporting #TREADTOGETHER which is a fundraising event/challenge held by Suicide Prevention Australia that will take place on the 25th and 26th of May (this month). The challenge is to run/walk/dance on a treadmill for as little as 15 minutes or as long as 24 hours. It takes place at all Anytime Fitness clubs throughout Australia and you don’t have to be a member to participate. For more information click HERE and put your body to the test!
