Golden Features Announces Australian Tour + Debut Album

Following the release of his highly-awaited new single Falling OutGolden Features aka Tom Stell today announces his largest Australian tour to date, visiting cities nationally in August. The favourite homegrown producer also shares the details of his debut album – ‘SECT’, out July 13 via Warner Music Australia & available to pre-order now.

The tour kicks off in his hometown of Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on August 11, Golden Features will then visit Brisbane’s Eatons Hill on August 15, before crossing coast lines for Perth’s HBF Stadium on August 17. The following weekend, he’ll play to Adelaide’s Thebarton Theatre on August 24, before closing out an epic run of shows at Melbourne’s The Forum on August 25.

The deeply driving and emotional cut, Falling Out is the first track to be taken from Golden Features hugely anticipated debut album ‘SECT’. A full-length result of tireless hours spent in the studio refining his sound, ‘SECT’ is a creative journey and defining statement from Golden Features that fans will soon hear.

Features says of ‘SECT’:

“This album was written around the concept that exclusion forces outliers together in a most beautiful way. Musically my influences are extremely varied. Everything from post-punk and to QOTSA and AIR. Production wise my love for early Ed Banger is worn on my sleeve. I keep reaching back to that 2007 era when producers weren’t all crabs in a bucket, fighting to counterfeit the latest hit.

I abandoned a lot of software in favour of hardware as an attempt to limit sound design possibilities, and more importantly I settled on an ethos for the entire record. It’s simple. Underneath all of the production flex, does the song stand on its own?  I’ve changed through writing this and I don’t think I could have achieved what I wanted if I hadn’t.”
