2017 Provided the best year in all of our lives yet, we want to do something special for the fans we see at every show.” A simple but honest sentiment from one of the most talked about bands in the Australian alternative scene. Brisbane’s Deadlights have gone from strength to strength since releasing their Greyscale Records debut ‘Mesma’, but before they look towards album #2, they have announced they’ll be taking the album on the road, and bringing some good friends along for the ride.
While this tour has been the plan for a while, Deadlights completed their album cycle slightly backwards, first supporting bands such as Thy Art Is Murder, Polaris, Parkway Drive, and Northlane, as well as playing the sold out Invasion Fest 2017, before there was even time to have a tour of their very own. “We were launched into a wave of support tours last year and haven’t had the chance to take Mesma around in our own way. We’ve finally put together a string of cheap shows with great bands to celebrate with.”
Joining Deadlights on this run will be Melbourne’s Dregg, hot off the back of opening up Unify 2018, and touring the country with I, Valiance; and with Sydney’s Life’s Ill bringing the noise as well, these shows are guaranteed to be ones not to be missed. “Things are gonna get weird on these stages. These will be the most dynamic sets of our career so far. We cannot wait to get back on the tar.”
