The Jensens Drop New Track ‘Emotion’

Brisbane 5 piece The Jensens are back with their funked up new single Emotion.

“Emotion is about how everything is falsifiable,” says the band of the track. “You could put your trust in one thing today, and another tomorrow, and then in a year realise it was all a waste of time – but also how there’s really no such thing as wasting time.”

“It’s about being entranced and obsessed, feeling unnatural and rejecting the soul in favour of an image. Fear that living life through a lens will cause emotions to fade and detract from what is essential.”

Emotion’was largely recorded in the band’s own home studio, with additional recording at Plutonium and Bedlam studios. With a helping hand from Steve Kempnich (Morning Harvey, Orphan Orphans), the track was entirely self-produced and engineered by the band, and features Jack Hunter on bongos and Julian Palma on saxophone. The almost 10 minute long track takes the listener on a wild ride with funky guitar riffs, sci-fi keys and a groovin saxophone. You never quite know whats going to happen next during this track and just when you think its over it keeps going. It’s hard to explain what you feel when listening to Emotion so you will just have to experience it for yourself.
