Trojans Release Mental ‘Dead Eyed Stare’ Film Clip

Sydney metalcore outfit Trojans have just released their killer creepy video for single Dead Eyed Stare, prepare to have your mind warped.

Dead Eyed Stare is a song about depression and the lives of the people who suffer every day with the horrible affliction. The track’s lyrics address the sufferer’s constant thoughts of suicide and life’s monotony – and the will and sheer strength required to beat it.

The video shows the lead character (Dosey Smith) waking up in an abandoned hospital and while being chased by death (Rachel Greenwood) he tries to escape the hospital but then comes across life (Esther Link). Dosey decides to chose life who guides him out of the hospital all while death tries to change his mind. In the end he finds the strength to break free and finally finds his way out.

Trojans has brought to life the thoughts and challenges inside the brain of someone living with the depression. Encouraging those who are feeling the weight of the world to chose the better path (Life) and push through the barriers to find your very own peace.

Directed, filmed and edited by Jacob Pattinson, the clip was shot with full permission and access to the location – an abandoned Mental hospital in the Blue Mountains – The Queen Victoria sanitarium.

Trojans‘ single Dead Eyed Stare will be available on Spotify, iTunes (and all good online outlets) on Friday November 25.
