Te Papa founded in 1992 is the official Museum of New Zealand and is located on the harbour in Wellington. Its very easy to get lost inside due to the scale of the building and how many interactive displays there are to entertain yourself with. Te Papa is also home to the only Colossal Squid on display.

Te Papa is a great way to learn about NZ culture and heritage while also killing a few hours by looking at some rad stuff.
